Arrival at Boca Manu
Here is where we switched rivers to go deeper into Manu. We stopped at several outposts along the way to poke about a bit and take on some more gasoline for the canoe. When we arrived at Boca Manu we had a chance to potter about the village a bit before proceeding. A teeny-weeny landing strip is a short walk away. It had originally been created by drug smugglers but it was then taken over by the government. A plane with the other members had landed earlier and they joined the safari.
